This timer is a tool for implementing a time management system called the Pomodoro Technique. Start the timer, and begin working on a task--any task. After 25 minutes, take a five-minute break. Go outside. Meditate. Dance. Whatever! The point is to take an intellectual break from the task at hand. When your break is up, get back to work. Each thirty-minute interval (work time + break) is called a pomodoro (Italian for "tomato"). How many pomodoros can you complete in a row?
